“This happens to be a big Father’s Day for my dad and myself. My dad will be in from Cincinnati to spend his first Grandfather’s Day with his six month old granddaughter, Fiona.”

“We plan on having a casual lunch at Spacca Napoli in Ravenswood and may head up to Andersonville – my wife, Maria, and I need new bedroom furniture, so we will likely duck into The White Attic. At the end of the day we plan on grabbing a pint of local brew from Begyle Brewing at Fountainhead in Ravenswood before heading home for some great Italian at Caro Mio.”

Charlie Meredith

We asked Modern Luxury Chicago’s Account Executive, Charlie Meredith, “What are your favorite activities to do with your father around the Chicagoland area?” Here are Charlie’s top three Chicago spots to take his father.

Charlie

“My father and I like to start the day off with a solid workout at The East Bank Club in River North. If the sun is shining, you can find my father and I enjoying lunch and a cold brew outside at Kerryman Irish Bar & RestaurantAfter a tasty meal, I would take my dad over to the Fiat Dealership in the West Loop and take the exclusive 500 Cavallino Edizione for a spin.”

Matt Woodburn

We asked Sound Investment’s, Matt Woodburn “What are your favorite activities to do with your dad around the Chicagoland area?” For Matt and his father, it’s all about a good steak and Chicago history. See his favorite Chicago steakhouses below!

Matt

“When we go out in Chicago, we like to eat and get some history on this great city. We usually go for steaks at your typical old-school Chicago steakhouses such as, Chicago Chop House and Gene & Georgetti”.

Matt and his father also enjoy a Chicago history lesson and great sight seeing by spending the afternoon on an architectural cruise or mob tour.

D.C. Crenshaw

We asked Chicago’s Emmy Nominated Executive Producer and Food & Lifestyle Personality, D.C. Crenshaw “What are your favorite activities to do with your dad around the Chicagoland area?” Here are D.C.’s top five spots!

DCCrenshaw

“My dad currently lives in Ohio, but when he visits I like to take full advantage of the city. We would start the day off in Wrigleyville to catch a Cubs game. After the game, we would head over to Wicker Park for tacos and margaritas at Big Star. If the weather is nice, the Architectural Tour on the Chicago River is a must! For dinner, I would hit up my friends Bill & Giuliana Rancic’s restaurant RPM Italian and cap a great weekend with cocktails at the Pump Room.”
